Transition Throughout the School Years:
Transitions are a natural part of growing up.
Thoughtful planning and preparation will help to
make times of transition as smooth as possible.
• What to expect during typical transition times (Preschool to Kindergarten,
Elementary to Middle School, Middle to HighSchool, etc)
• How to prepare your child for transitions
• How to address anticipated transitions with your child’s teacher(s)
and in your child’s IEP
• Strategies for smooth transitions
• Addressing challenging behavior needs
• Considering medical needs
• Compliance concerns and more!
Two free IEP workshops — Basic and Transition — for parents and families with children who have disabilities or special needs.
All materials will be provided on a CD.
