Just complete a PTA membership form or the envelope that was sent with this weeks Tuesday folder and return it to your child’s teacher with your $5.00 (per member) dues."WHAT IS PTA? PTA stands for Parent Teacher Association and is the nation's oldest child advocacy organization.WHY SHOULD I JOIN CONN PTA? Joining CONN PTA makes you a member of this organization and gives you a voice in improving the education, safety and health of your child on a local and national level.DO I HAVE TO COMMIT MY TIME OR DO SOMETHING IF I JOIN?While the PTA appreciates all volunteer efforts and attendance at general meetings or PTA events, neither of these are required of PTA members. Your membership dollars support the programs that matter to our kids! The child who benefits the most is your own when you are CONNected with our PTA. Membership in the PTA gives you the opportunity to vote on PTA issues. Although, you are under no obligation to attend monthly meetings, your input is always welcomed and appreciated. The cost of an individual member is only $5.00. Additional family members and friends may also join for only $5.00 per person. One card per membership will be provided. How to join our PTA: • Please complete the membership form below. If there are more than 2 people joining please include their names and contact info on the back of the form. • If paying by check, make check payable to Conn PTA. Please write your child’s name and teacher’s name on the check. • Place form and dues in the membership envelope. • Return this form to your child’s teacher or to PTA mailbox in the Office.
