The Winter Dance will be held on Friday, January 23rd from 5-7pm at Conn. Students will vote in their classrooms for a slogan to accompany our Outer Space theme. The slogan will be revealed on Jan. 16th.
Conn PTA is proud to present the Winter Dance 2026 on January 23, 2026 from 5-7 pm in the Conn gym. This free event is open to all Conn Magnet Elementary School families with children grades 5 and younger. A supervising adult is required for entry. Due to safety and capacity limits, no middle school or high school aged children will be admitted.
This year's theme is Outer Space to coincide with Conn's partnership with the International Space Station. The students will submit and vote on their favorite slogan to help carry out the theme. The slogan will be announced on January 16. Guests are encouraged to dress in festive space themed attire!
Food will be provided on a first come, first serve basis. We will also have some fun entertainment planned: DJ, photo booth, crafts, NC State Dancers, and more. We can't wait to boogie the night away together!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
In order to ensure a safe and fun experience for all, we need WCPSS approved volunteers to set up/clean up, welcome guests, oversee the quiet area, monitor the dance floor and bathrooms, and serve dinner and drinks. Sign up to volunteer!
Note: Please plan for one parent to chaperone/supervise his or her child; do not plan to volunteer and supervise at the same time. Instead, ask a friend or family member to join the fun!
As in years past, this PTA-sponsored school-wide event is *FREE* to all Conn students, thanks to generous local business sponsors and individuals like you.
If you are interested in featuring your company, please consider making an in-kind donation such as food/dinner or a complimentary DJ session to ensure a fun night of dinner and dancing for our CONNuMUINITY!
