PTA-funded mini grants help build a stronger learning environment for all Conn students. These additional funds allow our educators to build on the core curriculum and magnet theme to bring inventive and novel experiences to students. Mini grants support our educators in their continuing education and development by funding conference attendance and training courses. Mini grants are administered by the PTA finance team, which includes the treasurer and financial secretary.

Applications are open to any Conn staff member implementing educational programs with students. PTA membership is not required to apply for mini grant funds. The grants can be used to offset costs for learning opportunities that fit within our magnet theme and mission.
Grants are awarded in amounts up to $500 per application.
All grants require an application, which is reviewed by the Conn PTA Mini Grant Committee. The committee is made up of at least 3 PTA members. Grants are evaluated on a standard rubric and require a score of 22 (out of 30) to be approved. Application review generally takes about a week.
Grant applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Mini grant funds are divided into a fall application period, covering quarters 1 and 2, and a spring application period, covering quarters 3 and 4. Applications will be accepted until the application period's funds have been exhausted.
