Conn PTA is excited to bring back the Conn Cougar 5K on Saturday, March 7th, 2026!!
Set your New Year's wellness intentions and get moving with your Conn family! Conn's PTA also invites friends, family, and our extended community to take part in this event. Register today!
Post Race Celebration: After you cross the finish line, keep the fun going with our post-race celebration at Brookside Market - home to the Optimist and newly opened Big Cat.

2026 conn cougar 5K
Enjoy a morning 5K or 1-mile run (or walk) through Conn's surrounding neighborhoods or partake in a community fitness program near the track.
When: Saturday, March 7th, 2026; event will kick-off around 8:15 am with race starting promptly at 9 am
Where: Pedestrian Bridge/Track at rear of Conn Magnet Elementary School (1220 Brookside Drive)
Cost: 5K registration is $35, 1 miler registration is $20. Registration covers costs to host the event, including a finisher medal! However, expense should not be a barrier to participating! Please use code RUN4CONN* to register at no cost! *Due to costs incurred with hosting this event, we ask that this code be used by direct Conn community (i.e. students, parents, staff, etc).*
Swag: Registered race participants will receive a race finisher medal at the finish line.
5K Awards:
The 2026 event will feature awards for the 5K course finishers only.
Age groups for the 5K race are <10, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+
Overall male/female awards gift card to Fleet Feet.
Age group male/female awards -
20+ age groups: 1st place - Trophy (20+ age groups), 2nd place - Fleet Feet
<10 and 10-19 age groups: 1st place and 2nd place - So & So Books
The 3rd Annual Conn Cougar 5K T-shirt! Pre-order by 2/22 to secure your t-shirt for race day!
The 2026 event t-shirt will be blue featuring yellow graphics. T-shirts are available for an additional cost when registering through race reach or via the PTA givebacks store.
The CONN Cougar 5K + 1-mile youth fun run event is for the entire CONNmUNITY and beyond!
Any proceeds received from the event will cover the cost of the event and then go on to support Conn's students, families and staff through Conn's PTA!
Cannot attend the event, but wish to give to Conn PTA?! You may do so via our givebacks store. Donations are tax deductible and support Conn's students, families and staff through PTA.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
Volunteers are a critical element in hosting a safe and sound event. Interested in supporting the event through gift of time?! Please consider signing up to cover a shift or two... help set-up, aid runners and/or breakdown! Many hands make light work!

PACKET PICK-UP DATES:
Thursday, March 5th from 4-6 pm @ Big Cat (meet on the patio!)
Friday, March 6th 4-6 pm @ Conn (near bus loop)
PARKING - We encouarge participants to walk or ride a bike if they can. Limited parking will be available on the right side of school property (facing the school, car rider loop; this is the school entrance immediately across from Frank Street).
To ensure the safety of all participants dogs and other pets are not permitted. Registered service dogs permissible.
We ask that scooters and bikes remain parked for the event. Push strollers are permitted along the race course.
The event will take place on Conn Magnet Elementary School's campus. The school will be locked and closed. Building entry will not be permitted during the event.

CONNmUNITY fun continues post race!
The fun continues at Brookside Market! Follow the crowd on over to Brookside Market for drinks and eats at Big Cat and The Optimist. Spend some time enjoying our CONNmUNITY and eating lunch while the kids have fun with friends!
