The students did a wonderful job submitting ideas for this year’s theme. The overwhelming winner was Wicked which took 145 of the 402 total votes! Sports was the runner up with 91 votes.
Come dressed in your favorite Oz colors, costumes, and flare on Friday, Jan. 24 at 5pm in the Conn Gym.
The NC State Dance troupe will kick off the evening at 5pm with a dance, followed by a short clinic for each grade level.
Can’t wait to dance the night away as we turn the gym into the Ozdust Ballroom.
Conn PTA is proud to present the Winter Dance 2025 on January 24, 2025 from 5-7pm in the Conn gym. This free event is open to all Conn Magnet Elementary School families with children grades 5 and younger. A supervising adult is required for entry. For safety and capacity, no middle school or high school aged children will be admitted.
This year's theme was chosen by the students in the weeks leading up to the event. The theme was announced on Friday, January 17, 2025. Guests are encouraged to dress in festive attire!
Food will be provided on a first come, first serve basis. We will have sandwiches, packaged snacks, and water. We will also have some fun entertainment planned: DJ, photo booth, crafts, and more. We can't wait to boogie the night away together!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
In order to ensure a safe and fun experience for all, we need WCPSS approved volunteers to set up/clean up, welcome guests, oversee the quiet area, monitor the dance floor and bathrooms, and serve dinner and drinks. Sign up for a 30-45 minute shift here!
Note: Please plan for one parent to chaperone/supervise his or her child; do not plan to volunteer and supervise at the same time. Instead, ask a friend or family member to join the fun!
As in years past, this PTA-sponsored school-wide event is *FREE* to all Conn students, thanks to generous local business sponsors and individuals like you.
If you are interested in featuring your company, please consider making an in-kind donation such as food/dinner or a complimentary DJ session to ensure a fun night of dinner and dancing for our CONNuMUINITY!
